We've got the Boy working, and the Girl is in Charge

At nine months, a guy's gotta get a job. And what better job than riding a tractor? I mean, chicks dig tractors.

And while we at it, let's get the marvelous Macy in some self-defense classes!

Living in Colorado in the summer

One of the things that I have come to appreciate about Colorado is the weather. Honestly, it is almost always nice here. When I get up to walk-jog in the mornings, it is still in the 50s or 60s. By afternoon, it is warm, but frankly, if you get in the shade it is perfect because it is so dry. We have had some severe late afternoon thunderstorms, but by the time I leave work, it is once again beautiful. Nice enough to hit golf balls or play tennis without sweating, really.

Even last winter, there were very few days that were cold and nasty. 50 miles from Denver, there was several feet of snow, but here in the Denver metro area, not much and none that stayed around more than a couple of days.

Especially right now, when I look on my facebook page and so many friends in Oklahoma and Texas are complaining about the heat, I am thankful for the weather here. There are many beautiful vegetables to be had at the farmer's market, my flowers are growing like crazy, mornings I can still sit outside and enjoy my cup of coffee...not much to complain about here!

See What I Mean...

Happy, cuddly, fun...the perfect man.

Back in town...

I spent a terrific week in Oklahoma with the grandbabies and with Mr. Lynn. I had the babies all to myself for 4 straight days--and while I enjoyed it immensely, it was also exhausting! I got Little ER and Macy and myself down to the dock the first day, got in the water, and then realized that I probably was not going to be able to get us out. I mean, I can barely get myself up the ladder on the dock, much less 20 lbs of baby! Also, I wished I would have thought about that BEFORE we got in the water. We ended up swimming to the boat ramp to get out--luckily, I had worn my shoes when I jumped in the water!

Baby ER is so darling, happy and cuddly and perfect. Macy, is, as usual, simply Marvelous! We went to Harbor Village, and I thought she might be bored, but she loved it, even though it was hot. We went shopping for a necklace, and FINALLY found one we could both agree on, we had breakfast at our usual place, we swam, and we watched movies when it got too hot.

I had a great time, and then the little ones and my daughter and son-in-law went to the mountains, and I had some time to play with my friends and with Mr. Lynn. It was a great trip, but sad to leave.
